A weekly treasure trove of information from the atlas maths consultant
As we know, every day is a Maths Day!
However, as we also know, it's always good to have an excuse to raise our subject's profile even further.
Tomorrow is one of the days assigned as 'World Maths Day' but, giving a little more potential planning time, 'Maths Week England' takes place soon after half term.
Sign up for updates and for ideas of resources.
Also This Week
- Find out more about possible support from the National Tutoring Programme. Information is available on webinars running after school on 21st October or 5th November for which you can register.
- In tribute to Don Steward, his family have uploaded more of his excellent resources to his blog which are freely available and can be accessed.
- I've seen specific recommendations this week for the resources on 'Go Teach Maths', which look great. Lots of options here including the 'Mark Maximiser' revision sheets and a wide range of topic-based lesson resources and activities.
- Another recommendation is for the scaffolded worksheets from 'Starting Points Maths', including the particular example on differentiation.
There is still time to register for tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon's 2pm presentation and training led by Mark Howlett, Head of Maths for Edexcel, which has been arranged by Robert in his role at the Maths Hub. Once registered here, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
Check your Junk or Spam-box if you can't find it.
I hope you'll be able to join us!
